Tiger Trot!
This event is a ton of fun! The kids look forward to it all year. They run around the track or a larger loop around the school, and we count how many times they make it around in the allotted time. We need as many folks as we can get helping to count laps and ensure that each kid's bib is attached before they start, and gets collected at the end.
After the event, lap counts are recorded and matched against pledged donations - so we want to get them right!
Lap counters use a sharpie to mark a line on the kids' bibs for each lap. Bibs are collected by volunteers at the end of the race. Until the numbers are entered into a computer, these sweaty bibs are critical fundraising infrastructure!

The kids are running in two waves with a mix of grades in each wave - so read closely if you want to catch your kiddo on the track:
- 1st Trot Bibs at 8:40am. Whistle at 9:10 am.
- Ms. Castro, Ms. Draggoo , Mr. Jonathyn, Ms. Kadow, Mr. Mac, Ms. Olin, Mr. Stanley, Ms. Thompson, Ms. Zachmeier
- 2nd Trot Bibs at 9:40am. Whistle at 10:10 am.
- Ms. Bailey, Ms. Best, Ms. Boyd, Ms. Hoffard, Ms. McCall, Ms. Noonan, Ms. Nye, Ms. Robinson, Ms. Rorty
Roles & Shifts
Pass out sharpies, get enough bibs and pins to each class, make poster board signs to cheer the kids on, whatever else needs doing to ensure the first group of kids start on time at 9:10am, sharp!
Pick up a stack of bibs from the organizers, then head to the classroom to help get them pinned on each student.
Mark Race Bibs each time a student completes a lap! Stand at the start/finish line and cheer on the kids. Collect all the bibs and return them to the organizers when the kids are done!
Ensure that the playground is cleaned up and ready for the rest of the school day.
